But then Brody did lie on the polygraph right? When he said he didnt cheat on his wife but he did with Carrie. Without other spoilers, is that adressed later on? Thanks :)
AI could replace every single job (maybe except a few) if we continue to develop and improve it. Do you agree? How do you imagine life with AI technologies (which are potentially literally life-changing) in the future?
[Long post but it's just me wondering about this topic so you don't need to read it to answer the question] First of all do you agree with that statement? I think it could replace us because if we kept making it better and better at one point it would become better than humans at analyzing data. Which means it could react better and find the most appropriate solution in any situation: surgeries, driving, teaching, giving therapy. Upload this AI into some very advanced robot and you can have a robot that will give you a surgery. Of course this level of improvement is very far from us, but in the future, if everything goes ok and we want it... People say someone would have to operate those machines so AI can't replace us but I think it would be a very tiny minority of people needed to watch them. First of all, if we make AI smarter than hs, it can monitor itself (to some extent) and improve itself. Second of all, this would be a very responsible job, with much less demand (because they'd have to view the whole system not every single machine). To ensure AI doesn't "improve" itself in ways we wouldn't want it to follow, someone could monitor it but this would be a very educated, trustworthy person. Which means 99% of us can potentially be jobless. Unless you disagree that AI technically could take away any job. Then two questions arise. First of all, will we want to replace our jobs with AI? It sounds nice that you finally don't need to work a job you hate. Have lots of time for yourself. But would we want to live in a world in which we get served (not sure if that word is ok) by robots everywhere? A robot waiter, a robot doctor, a robot teacher? Would it be good for out mental health to replace humans with robots? Good for kids development to be taught by robots? Good for our social skills? Generally would we even want that? It's so different from our life now. And there's a risk of something going wrong with that and then one system breaks and we are without any doctors, or any teachers. Second of all, imagine that actually happens. What is our life goal now? If you ask most of people, they want to find a good job, travel, find a partner, buy a house. Imagine that is suddenly accessible and easy. Will we be as happy with travelling if we could do it anytime? Will we even enjoy it if every place has the same AI systems and becomes so similar? Our whole lifes are based on (besides relationships) finding a secure job and earning money to buy what we need and want. Take that part away and how do we decide who lives in the better area? If 100k people want to buy something but there's only 100 of that, who gets it? Currently money decides, but without us having jobs, what happens? How do you imagine life in the future if we continue to develop AI technologies?I have so many questions
Just finished. A bit mad I just finished reading onyx storm, and I’m just left questioning everything and feeling confused! Which is what I think Rebecca intended. I’m also a bit frustrated that I’ll have to wait some years for the next book. Which I understand might take longer because of her health. I just need answers! The last chapters of the books switching from different POVs was surprising as I can’t recall in either previous books of the narrator being only Violet. I need to know the importance of having the chapters from Xaden, Imogen, and Rhi. Also how TF did andarna make it back to Violet after leaving and severing her bond? Was she there the whole time? Finally becoming an Irid and blending in. Becoming unnoticeable even to other dragons. what the hell made theophanie so afraid she ran from her main goal (having violet and her dragons). Also who is she truly serving. Because when violet mentions Berwyn as being it she sneers and says like she would follow an idiot like him. I wish we would’ve found out more about her. Because she knew the Sorrengails children extremely well, noting that Lilith was her counter part, of magic equaling out. And how did Panchek go unnoticed for so long being a traitor. Wouldn’t Xadens 2nd signet find out he was lying. Also how was his dragon okay with betraying the empyrean and working with the Venin!? Is Brennan a venin or something close/worse? Is Berwyn a character that we’ve known about? Is he Tarins previous rider that “saved” Brennan. If theophanie is working for someone else who is this shadow figure? Is he the creator of venins? A king? A dragon? Who exactly left with Xaden and the dragon eggs, who was Xaden calling “my brother” is it Garrick or Bodhi? Also Andarna told violet she would not let them burn her. REBECCA I need answers. I have so many questions and this is just the tip of the iceberg. And finally how could you Rebecca! Confused about the Titan battle... its a "tad" hard (FF7 Rebirth) Is the summon materia worth it? Cant remember having that kind of trouble in Remake..
title The battle is a Level-Sync battle. So i understand it that the battle just scales with my level? If thats the case why does it say after the battle "grow stronger and try again" (or similar)? If i understand "level sync" right it doenst really matter if i get stronger.. maybe this means new gear? or maxed out materia? I am level 24 and titan feels unbeatable right now.. but if it always syncs with my level.. there is nothign much i can do to grow stronger else then find new gear or max my materia.. which i can only do with a grind.. which means i have to wait towars late game or such.. i am confused with this.."> They look tasty.
