Red eyes

My 1 year old springer boy has an eye infection and we tried 2 different eye drops for him, nothing works so far. it doesnt seem to bother him. My vet doesnt know what to do except to refer us to a specialist that will be quite expensive.

Has anyone experienced this with their springer? Any suggestion would be welcome.
