I absolutely love all of the sookie stackhouse books. The murder mystery elements, strong female lead that keeps her wits about her, realstic/dimensional characters, and the overall world building just hooked me. I like stuff that's fun and snappy because I read a lot of heavy academic books in between fantasy romance. I really liked the fae elements (and obviously the vampires), but I'm hesitant to read ACOTAR (but I'm open to it if enough people vouch for it). I'm not into super ooey gooey romance, and I cannot handle a weepy/weak female lead. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!
